An understanding of law is critical to the operation of any business. This course examines a broad variety of legal subjects and their impact on individuals and business organizations. Focus is given to the origins and structure of our court system, as well as the areas of law including: criminal, constitutional, personal injury, contracts, sales, property, forms of business organizations, and employment. This course is invaluable to any student interested in pursuing a legal or business career, as well as students interested in gaining an understanding of law for personal use. Instruction will be through lecture, case study, role-playing, small group exercises, and visual activities.
